The suspect was identified as Gregory Livingston, 54, a Kroger security guard. He’s been charged with second-degree murder.
Memphis Police said the preliminary information reveals an argument between the victim and the suspect happened prior to the shooting.
On Sunday, in the affidavit, Memphis Police confirmed Livingston approached officers and told them he shot a man.
The shooting victim’s girlfriend witnessed the incident and told officers Livingston and her boyfriend argued over the volume of music coming from their car. The girlfriend had her boyfriend come back to the car, but he then exited the car and told Livingston they should “talk like men.”
